"Homelab restic backup" is a personal tool run by its owner on the owner's own server. It is not a public service. The only person who signs in to it is the owner.
The app requests the Google Drive "drive.file" permission. That permission lets the app see and manage only the files and folders the app itself creates in the owner's Google Drive. It cannot see any other file in the account.
The files the app creates are encrypted backup data. They are encrypted on the owner's server before upload, and the encryption key is never sent to Google or to anyone else. The app keeps a Google sign-in token on the owner's server so the nightly backup can run without signing in again.
Nothing. The app does not collect, sell, share or transfer any user data to any third party, does not use data for advertising, and has no analytics. Data goes only between the owner's server and the owner's Google Drive.
The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The owner can delete the backup folder from Google Drive at any time, and can revoke the app's access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
